The Pattern

Can we normalise wanting to dress to match your favourite summer treat please? Because that's what we'll be doing this summer with our Ice Cream Cone Top !

The pattern is a fun and satisfying knit with loads of scope to play with different colours and textures. The lace honeycomb stitch on the lower half makes it a great top to have on for layering as a sunny summer day turns to evening.

Construction Method

You will begin by working a folded neckband in twisted 1x1 rib. Next, a simple yoke is worked using swivel increases. These are done by moving the position of the increase along by 2 stitches on each round. Once the yoke is complete you will change yarn and needle size and begin working the lower body and sleeves in an open honeycomb stitch. Increases are made to create a ruffled effect.
