The Pattern

The perfect tote bag for your everyday shopping, spring picnics and breezy summer beach days! 

Get the Sea Breeze Tote for free when you purchase any kit or x4 Skeins from the collection until Wednesday 13th March 7pm GMT.

Just add both your kit/x4 skeins and pattern to your basket and it will automatically be deducted from your total amount.

The Kit 

This kit includes enough yarn to create the 'Standard' size bag which has a finished measurement of approximately 17cm at the base, 30cm width (at the netted section) and 45cm height (not including the handles). Please note you will need to use both yarn A & B1 (pool) to create the handles. See the sample in orange for size reference of your finished knit - the sample in Pool and Dart frog is simply to show how you can adjust the pattern to be bigger if you wish, this kit does not include enough yarn to create tote bigger than the orange sample.

You will receive x3 Handspun Cotton in 'Natural', x1 Wensleyahze in 'Dart Frog' and x1 Wensleyhaze in 'Pool'.

Standard Size Yardage Info for this kit 
Yarn A (Garter Stitch & Handles) - Dk to Aran weight = 270m
Yarn B 1 (Net Section) - Light fingering held double  (+1 Single of Yarn B 2)= 200m
Yarn B 2 (Net Section & Handles) - Light Fingering held single (+ double of Yarn B1) for netting and then held double for handles.

The netted section is created by holding Wensleyhaze triple ( x2 Dart Frog strands + x1 Pool strands). You will find you will need to use rest of the Pool wensleyhaze to create striped for the handles. For the handles you can hold the yarn double and adjust your tension to meet the gauge

The Bases

Hand Spun Cotton 

Our cotton base, is a 2 ply, hand spun, 100% cotton yarn in a DK weight. Cotton is light weight and breathable making it great for warmer weather, perfect for crochet tops and knitted jumpers! Cotton has little to no stretch which creates a lovely drape and stitch definition. Because it's hand spun 2 ply there is a gorgeous variation in thickness in the 2 strands, creating interesting and unique texture in your makes!

Made up of 100% Cotton, each skein is 50g with 110m of squishy heaven. 

Wensleyhaze

Wensleydale is a rare species of longhair British sheep and its wool is only sourced in small batches from local farmers. 

It has more lustre than normal wool and pairs brilliantly with Kid Mohair Silk for the extra softness, which is exactly what we’ve done to create our magnificent Wensleyhaze base. Great stitch definition for more rustic knitting projects.

Made up of 80% Wensleydale and 20% Super Kid Mohair, each skein 50g and 200m long!
