The Garment

Welcome the new member of the 'Simply Wave' family, the Simply Wave Long Sock! Using a combination of our super soft Veranita base for the detailing and our durable Merino Sock Minis for the main structure, by the end of the knit you will have the perfect pair stylish socks to keep you warm during the fresh spring breezes. 

The Simply Wave Long Sock is designed to sit just below the knee, with a little ribbed garter band to hold it up. The sock is worked in the round using our simply wave stitch for the leg, while the foot part is worked in 1x1 rib stitch. Decreases help shape the leg as you work your way towards the ankle. The heel and toe is worked in stockinette stitch and the afterthought heel method is used to work the heel.

Yarn A; Qing Fibre Merino Sock mini - 75% Superwash Merino
wool, 25% Nylon - 20g, 80 metres / 87 yards. 4 (5) 5 (6) skeins

Yarn B; Qing Fibre Veranita - 25g, 300m/325yds. 79% Cashmere
21% Silk, lace weight. 1 skein all sizes, 40 (46) 52 (58) metres

Choose the size by measuring the foot & calf following the below:

To Fit Foot Circumference
(Measurement taken from around the middle of your foot.)
17-19 (20-22) 23-24 (25-26) 27-29 cm / 6.5 -7.5 (8 - 8.5) 9-9.5
(10) 10.5-11.5 inch.

To fit calf circumference
25-30 (31-36) 37-42 (43-47) 48-54 CM.
10 - 12 (12 - 14) 14.5 - 16.5 (17 - 18.5) 19 - 21 INCH.

US5/3.75 mm DPN or cable needle.
US2.5/3mm DPN or cable needle.
